Around 2 a.m., police and the fire department were called to a home in the 300 block of Fairmont Drive.

Bear spray had been sprayed through an open window, police said in a news release on Friday.
Two adults and four children had evacuated by the time crews arrived. They were “experiencing mild symptoms consistent with exposure to bear spray; they did not require medical attention,” the release reported.

Firefighters ventilated the house before the family was able to return.
No suspects were located.
Later, around 10 a.m., police responded to a call about an injured person in the 100 block of Avenue T South.
Officers arrived to find a man suffering from the effects of bear spray. They investigated and learned he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
“He was arrested without incident before being transported to hospital by Medavie Health Services West for further treatment,” the release said.
No suspects were located.
Finally, around 4 p.m., police responded to a call that a man had been bear sprayed at a house in the 3300 block of Centennial Drive.
Officers learned three young men had gone to the house to confront a man who lived there. A different man opened the door, they had a verbal exchange, and the youth sprayed the man in the face and fled, police said.
A 13-year-old boy was arrested at a home in the 100 block of Haviland Crescent. He’s charged with assault with a weapon.
